Bling Midge

The Bling Midge is a compact, high-visibility nymph pattern designed for imitating emergent midges and small aquatic insects in both stillwater and slow-moving trout waters; its flashback thorax and beadhead variants give it excellent attraction and hook-up rates while remaining subtle enough to trigger finicky fish. Built on a small curved or straight-shank hook, the fly typically features a slim, dark body of thread or micro-tubing, a reflective rib or flashback for trigger attraction, and a sparse collar or tiny CDC wing to suggest movement in the film.
