The Bling Midge is a compact, high-visibility attractor pattern that combines the subtle profile of a midge pupa with a touch of flash to trigger picky trout in clear, slow-water situations; tied on fine-diameter hooks with a slim, tapered body often using a sparkly synthetic dubbing or micro tinsel, it imitates emerging midges while the flash simulates trapped air or iridescence, making it especially effective in low-light or heavily pressured fisheries; fish it as a dropper below dry flies, on a Euro-nymph point, or alone with a gentle dead-drift or short twitches to provoke reluctant takes.
