The White Wulff is a versatile, buoyant dry-fly pattern prized for its visibility and trout-catching reliability; built with a white calf tail or synthetic wing, grizzly and brown hackle, and a stout deer-hair or foam body it rides high in the film and mimics a range of spent or emergent mayflies, caddis, and other adult insects. Its broad-profile silhouette and stark white wing make it an excellent choice for fast-moving water and low-light conditions, allowing anglers to track rises and set strikes confidently. Rigged on sizes from tiny to large, the White Wulff excels as an attractor pattern and is particularly effective when fish are selectively feeding on adults at the surface, or when visibility is poor and a confident presentation is needed.
